SUBROGATION

1.       In most cases, insurance companies can attached known assets through fairly simple searches of assets.

2.       Occasionally, counsel is retained to attempt to obtain funds in a subrogation case that includes complex issues.

3.       In a recent case, Dirk von Guenthner evaluated a case and proceeded to document the involvement of the spouse of the party who pleaded guilty and was in prison. After the completion of the investigation, the spouse settled the case with payment of a large return of money to the insurance company.
